Mark is a gentleman of contrasts: kind, focused, mellow, prankster, and fiercely competitive at whatever he’s doing. Whether it’s racing one-design sailboats, trying to catch the biggest fish from a kayak or creating a new brand for our clients that elevates them above their competition, he does it all with a gracious flair.

Mark brings the depth and the experience of over 30 years in the design business to bear on every project. With a degree in Graphic Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, he has been a creative force in branding everything from Tom Fazio’s Independence Golf Club and Thomasville Design Centers to AMF’s new upscale 300 Bowling Centers. Travel around Richmond and even across the country, chances are you’ll find a Mark Smith design.

cSs Tales: Mark’s newest passion is combining plein air painting with kayaking on the James River. Of course there’s usually a fly rod in the boat just in case.
